Friday Flourish evening retreat: Heart Opening

What are these?

These are stand alone classes/events based around a certain theme.


I appreciate you might not want a regular class on a Friday evening so these are roughly once a month and are designed to give you time to flourish - physically, emotionally, spiritually.
Maybe you can’t commit to a weekly class but would like to come to a one-off; maybe you want to come with your friend; your mum; your sister; your daughter.


Maybe the last time you saw me was at a pregnancy or postnatal class but you would like to occasionally dip into an evening just for you.
Maybe you are intrigued about my style of teaching and this is a good way to see if my weekly classes will be a good fit.

Maybe you already come to my women’s classes and want more.

These are just for women (my specialism).


Please don't worry about your level of experience; your age; fitness; flexibility; or any other self-imposed doubts which might be creeping in. Everyone is welcome with open arms, and if you are a seasoned yogi, there are lots for you too.

Just 90 mins of time for yourself 20.30-22.00 at our usual venue, Halton Village Hall.

The Next Friday Flourish

The June Friday Flourish is all about Heart Opening.

In our 90 mins together, we will start with an open heart relaxation, before moving onto a four part self-compassion exercise. Two of these exercises can be completed in the journaling kit provided if you so wish: which imperfections make you feel inadequate? How would you treat a friend? We will also explore a Supportive Touch exercise and Self-compassion break. Our mantra for the evening will be “When I choose love, I am love”.


Our physical practice works mainly the lower back, but also the hamstrings, hips, shoulders, arms and glutes. There is a mix of standing, seated and prone postures. The postures this month have been chosen to STRETCH the body, and focus on the lower 4 chakras or energy centres.
Finally we will finish with a beautiful guided relaxation on feeling love instead of fear.

Everyone goes home with a goodie bag, which includes a notebook, pen, cotton bag, rose quartz crystal heart and edible treat. 
The cost of the evening is £22 each and is limited to 10 attendees.

What do I need to bring?

I will provide all yoga equipment (mats, blankets, pillows, straps and eye masks) to use at your discretion. It is your choice if you would like to bring your own mat in addition to place on top.

I would advise that you bring a bottle of water and wear some loose comfortable clothes for your yoga practice, including layers so you can easily adjust depending on whether you are lying still in relaxation or being more physical.
